A woman has been hospitalised after allegedly being set alight in Sydney overnight. About 6.15pm (Friday 7 March 2014), emergency services were called to a building on Castlereagh Street. Police have been told a 34-year-old woman was splashed with an unknown liquid and set on fire. She was initially taken to St Vincent?s Hospital before being transferred to Concord Hospital in a critical condition. About 6.35pm, emergency services attended Wattle Street Ultimo, where they found a 28-year-old man with burns to his arms. He was taken to hospital where he remains under police guard. The manager of a troubled Haymarket apartment building has raised concerns about overcrowding in the complex after a man allegedly doused his partner with flammable liquid and set her alight.
