The arrival of three very different garden ornaments over a two-week period has baffled well known playwright Dona Parise.
Since Christmas Eve, a curious looking Santa, a totem and a bikini clad babe have popped up in her Edmondson Avenue garden.
"Santa arrived just before Christmas, we noticed him sitting under the hedge," Mrs Parise said.
"Then about five days later the totem arrived, but I'm not sure when he was put there because he was darker in colour and harder to spot.
"My first thought was that they had been stolen and dumped in my garden, so I put it on Facebook to see if anyone knew who owned them.
"I found the last gnome on Monday afternoon.
"I honestly don't know where they are coming from, but I'd love to find out why they have been put in our garden."
While Mrs Parise acknowledges that for some people "gnome is where the heart is", she hopes this is just the work of a local prankster having some fun.
"If they are a gift, it's nice and a bit exciting but if they belong to someone else I don't want to be receiving stolen goods," she said.
"I have been trying to find a message in them, but I'm just not sure what they mean. If anyone can shed any light on this I'd really appreciate it.
"I have asked everyone I can think of but no one has owned up to it.
"I do have a couple of my own gnomes, but I wouldn't say that I'm a big fan of them.
"If they belong to someone else I'd like to return them to their rightful owner."
