POLICE have charged a woman following the fatal stabbing of a man in West Wyalong yesterday.

About 7.45pm on Monday, emergency services were called to a home on Monash Street where they located a 50-year-old man suffering multiple stab wounds.
He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics, before being taken to West Wyalong Hospital where he died a short time later.
Officers attached to Griffith Local Area Command, with the assistance of detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad attended the home and arrested a 55-year-old woman.
A crime scene was also established at the location and examined by specialist forensic officers.
The woman was taken to West Wyalong Police Station, where she was charged with murder and refused bail to appear before West Wyalong Local Court today (Tuesday 17 December 2013).
Detectives are now urging any local residents with information who have not yet spoken to police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
