Between 2am and 10am on Sunday, a silver Ford Falcon and a black Mazda 6 were stolen from a house in Hanwood after thieves broke in.

The 47-year-old owner reported the cars were driven away from the scene.

Police later located the Ford, which has been seized for forensic analysis, but the other car is still missing.

Around the same time, thieves broke into the garage of a Collina home.

The home owners, a couple in their 30s, reported a grey Ryobi blower/vacuum and a green Ryobi whipper snipper missing.

Also in the early hours of Sunday morning, a blue Holden Cruze was stolen from a home in North Griffith.

Between 2.30am and 5.30am, the car was stolen along with two handbags which contained the car keys, credit cards and other personal items.

The vehicle was last seen travelling away from Messner Street in Griffith.

On Saturday night, the front windscreen and bonnet of a vehicle parked on a farm between Griffith and Hanwood was damaged.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity around Thorne Road.

Meanwhile, staff of a hostel in Griffith CBD reported a rock was thrown through a front window of the building.

The motive for the damage is unknown and police do not believe the two incidents are linked.

An automotive repair shop in Banna Avenue was also targeted by vandals.

On Friday night, the driver's side window of a vehicle was smashed by a rock or similar item and on Saturday night, two other vehicles were damaged by spray paint.

The vehicles had been secured in the rear yard of the business.

Around 9.30pm on Saturday, patrolling security guards noticed spray paint on the vehicles and raised the alarm.

Also on Saturday night, a 26-year-old woman reported that thieves had attempted to break into her Nissan Dualis, which was parked outside a friend's home in Collina overnight.

The vehicle had been left unlocked which allowed easy access.

Griffith Police Inspector Stuart Gair said officers will investigate whether any of the incidents are linked.

"Investigations will include viewing all available CCTV footage and using our specialist forensic resources to combine in an effort to identify those responsible," he said.

Gair said.

"Again, people are reminded to report suspicious activity, to secure vehicles and homes at all times and to keep valuables out of sight.

"If you have been the victim of a crime please report the matter as soon as possible and try to avoid touching property within or any other part of the suspected crime scene."

A TRUCK driver from Victoria was found dead in the cabin of his truck outside Hillston on Friday.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of the 40-year-old man, who was discovered deceased by a passing motorist at a rest stop about three kilometres from the township.

Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

A post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

It is believed the man was working at the time of his death and was transporting a load of sheep.

Police would like to hear from any witnesses who may have observed the truck and the deceased driver or who were present at the scene.
