GRIFFITH'S three junior representative sides in the Warren Smith, Geoff Lawson and Derek Rodgers cup competitions remain undefeated after another successful weekend.
All three teams picked up wins after facing Leeton in home fixtures on Sunday with Griffith batting first and strongly on each occasion before the bowlers took over to confirm victory.
The under 16s led the way in the Warren Smith Cup, claiming a huge 130-run win over a combined Leeton/Narrandera outfit at Exies No.1.
Skipper Cameron McWhirter was the star of the show, scoring his first representative century with an outstanding captain's knock of 104.
Together with opener Dylan Gillett (29) he set the platform and then continued with a third-wicket partnership of 71 alongside Logan Matheson (36)
McWhirter was finally dismissed in the 48th over with Griffith posting a mammoth 7-249, putting them in the box seat for victory.
Excellent spells from Griffith's two opening bowlers virtually put the game out of reach for the visitors.
Luke Docherty (0-11) and Dean Villata (2-9) were unrelenting in their pace and accuracy and not even combative innings from MacKenzie Saddler (35) and Jayden Lehman (45) were enough to lift Leeton's run rate.
For the second successive game, Liam Greenaway (4-21) and Logan Matheson (3-34) continued their successful spin bowling partnership to clean up the rest and cap off an excellent team performance.

GRIFFITH'S under 14s continued their strong start to the Geoff Lawson Cup competition with a comprehensive 76-run win over Leeton at Exies 2.
Batting first, Griffith lost an early wicket with Ryan McWhirter unlucky to be bowled off his pads, but Zane Hogan (43) and Ryan Greenaway (26) put on a second-wicket partnership of 74 to set up the innings.
The sudden loss of three quick wickets was a setback, but it was mitigated by solid contributions from the middle and lower order, with Griffith's Reece Matheson (26), Isaac Campbell (27), Riley Townsend (23), Lucas Conlan (19 not out), and Angus Kennedy (13) all batting aggressively to pad out the team's score, which finished at 206 all out after 49 overs.
Leeton's run chase never got going despite Nathan Tang (39) and Hugh Collins (22) taking the visitors to 2-76 after the loss of an early wicket.
But once that pair was dismissed, the Leeton line-up was exposed to some ruthless bowling and fielding from the Griffith team and was bowled out for 130.
The wickets were shared around by the Griffith bowlers with Isaac Campbell (2-13), Ryan Greenaway (2-12), and Lucas Conlan (2-5) all outstanding.

A TERRIFIC weekend was rounded out by a resounding 109-run win to Griffith's under 12s in the Derek Rogers Cup at Collina.
A strong opening partnership of 69 from Dean Bennett (24) and Ed Toole (32) set the home side up for a big score against long-time rivals Leeton.
Their stand lasted 13 overs and featured some well-judged running between the wickets.
However, once they were dismissed the wickets fell steadily and it was only contributions of 19 from Blake Argus and 18 from Alex Robinson that got the score up to 156 when the last batsman fell.
Leeton's innings was bogged down from the start and the visitors had only limped to 5-42 when the drinks break was taken after 20 overs.
At that point Blake Argus (2-2), Tom Greenaway (0-3) and Alex Robinson (2-8) had completely shut down Leeton's big hitters.
After drinks, Aditha Jayasuriya was introduced into the attack and his second over finished the match when he took care of the tail with a hat-trick, and then a fourth wicket off five balls for good measure to end with the outstanding figures of 4-0 off two overs.
