The month kicked off with an action-packed long weekend, featuring the annual Griffith Show as well as the power boats out at Lake Wyangan and the vintage train ride to Narrandera.
Then came the erection of a record number of citrus sculptures 60 which was 10 up on last year.
The much-anticipated Festival of Gardens was next, when an impressive 15 coach loads of visitors rolled into town.
Council tourism and development manager Greg Lawrence said that figure was up from about three coaches last year.
"We put a lot of effort behind marketing and we did direct mailing to the coach companies," Mr Lawrence said.
"It was a real team effort, which was great."
Mr Lawrence said the citrus sculptures proved a real drawcard.
"The sculptures are pretty amazing and it's all done by the community," he said.
"It was a mammoth effort to get them all up and it was great to see a real buzz around town."
While final figures for the month are still being tallied, Mr Lawrence said hotels and motels reported excellent trading and business houses were busy.
The month wrapped up with the Riverina Motor Show last weekend, which boasted a record number of entrants.
"There's so much on the go in Griffith," Mr Lawrence said.
"We also got a mention in The Daily Telegraph so that shows everything is working well."
