COLOURFUL hats of all shapes and sizes were pulled from the cupboard and displayed with pride as the Rotary Club of Griffith Avanti celebrated a mental health fund-raising event last week.
Hat Day, as it is known, is a fund-raiser by Australian Rotary Health to support research into mental health.
The event aims to pinpoint the causes of mental health and look at ways to support those with mental health issues to lead normal, fruitful lives.
Rotary member Lyn Sparks said of the fund-raiser: “It was a wonderful fellowship night with donations being made to shine a light on mental illness in Australia”.
There was also plenty of fun
and games and prizes for the best hats.
