FIFTEEN residents will go from grunge to glam next month as makeover madness hits the city.
The Rotary Club of Griffith Avanti is organising a first for Griffith, giving a lucky bunch a complete makeover all in the name of charity.
Can Assist will benefit as the men and women are primped and preened with the help of local hairdressers, beauticians, clothing and shoe shops and Jason’s Gym.
The experience will culminate on Friday, November 1 at the Be All You Can Be night as the participants take to the catwalk in front of cat-calling onlookers.
“It’s all to aid Can Assist and we’re just trying to get a group of people together and give them a bit of confidence back,” The Rotary Club of Griffith Avanti president Peter Sparks said.
“Jason Grogan from Jason’s Gym is teaching the group how to walk on the catwalk and look and feel better about themselves.”
The night will be held at the Yoogali Club on Friday, November 1 with tickets costing $20 available from SGB Partners/Integral Finance in Ulong Street.
“We look forward to making this an event to be remembered, and for the participants, changing their lives forever,” Mr Sparks said.
