The showstopping finale was part of KROP (Kids Rapt on Performing).
The spectacular, featuring 21 schools from around the region, has been described as “simply amazing”.
KROP director Lisa Brown said she was ecstatic that months of hard work by so many teachers and students had paid off.
“It’s come together beautifully. The performances have been great. I couldn’t have asked for anything better,” Mrs Brown said.
“It has been a big effort, but worth it to see the end result.”
KROP first timers Lake Cargelligo kicked things off, opening the show with their stunning The Circle of Dance performance.
The non-stop entertainment continued with a wide array of acts including a thrilling drum salute by Yanco High School, the crowd pleasing Weapon of Choice dance by Binya Public, Griffith North Public School’s colourful Nerd Party and the roof-raising finale featuring the combined voices of 530 students.
Riverina regional arts co-ordinator Di Alexander described the show as “incredible”.
“I have been stunned by everything I’ve seen in Griffith this week,” she said.
“The performances in Griffith Central to celebrate Education Week were amazing and now KROP has been the icing on the cake for me.
“Griffith should be just so proud. The whole ethos of KROP has been growing the talents and confidence of our students and that’s what I’ve seen over the years.
“The theme of Education Week this year was Creating the Future and KROP fits that so well, Griffith is certainly doing that.”
Mrs Alexander said the event, which closed Education Week in the city, gave students and teachers the opportunity to explore their creative side and expand their performing talents.
Another sold-out crowd is set to witness the talents of local students again tonight.
