A MAN caught driving while disqualified 33 times across six days has been sentenced to jail in Griffith Local Court.
Michael Colin Anderson, of Wirilda Street, Leeton, was sentenced to six months behind bars and disqualified from driving for a further three years for the numerous offences.
Anderson was first caught behind the wheel in Leeton at around 2pm on June 16 last year, he was then spotted just half-an-hour later again driving around town illegally.
On June 28, Anderson was slugged with 12 separate driving while disqualified charges over a six-hour period, seven of which were handed out while he was driving around Griffith.
One month later, the 39-year-old was slapped with 14 drive while disqualified offences in one day while in the Wagga area.
On August 5, Anderson was picked up in Leeton when he failed a roadside breath test, blowing 0.047.
On top of the jail sentence, Anderson was fined $400 for driving while under the influence and fined $400 for one of his driving while disqualified offences.
During his court appearance last Thursday, Anderson was also committed to appear before Griffith District Court next month for sentencing.
The Leeton man will be sentenced on charges of aggravated break and enter with intent in company, supplying or knowingly taking part in the supply of a prohibited drug, break and enter and steal goods to the value of $60,000, selling a pistol to an unauthorised person and supplying drugs on an ongoing basis.
Anderson was arrested last August as part of Strike Force Coglan, an operation set up following the death a woman in Leeton in March 2011.
He is alleged to have broken into a number of local houses and stolen items, sold firearms to an undercover police officer and supplied methamphetamines.
Anderson will face Griffith District Court on August 27 for sentencing.
