A MAN who allegedly threw petrol over another man and attempted to set him alight has been charged among a group of others after a vicious street fight in Pioneer over the weekend.
About 9.15pm on Sunday, police were called to Heath Crescent after a fight involving a number people broke out.
By the time police arrived, 30 to 40 people were involved in the street fight.
One of them was a 19-year-old Griffith man, who had allegedly thrown petrol over another person and threatened to set them alight.
He was charged on Sunday night with intimidation, assault and throw explosive with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and will appear before Griffith Local Court on October 9.
Police managed to calm the situation and disperse the crowd but on Monday, tensions brewed again and police were called to arrest three more people.
A 27-year-old man was charged with assault and affray, while two 20-year-old Griffith women were charged with affray.
They will appear before Griffith Local Court on October 16.
A 21-year-old woman was also charged on Sunday night with assault and breaching her AVO. She will appear before Griffith Local Court on October 9.
