THE Griffith Motorcycle Sports Club (GMSC) collected a swag of impressive results for junior and senior riders alike during the third round of the Wannabrook Motocross series held at Leeton recently.

In the 50cc Low Powers, Noah Kirkman rode well as always and it won’t be long before he moves up with the big boys, while in the 50cc Hi Power, Jasper Moon won the day followed in fourth by brother Jett.
The 65cc 10-12 years had three GMSC riders competing with Luke Cadorin (fourth), Luke Cromack (fifth) and Brad Plos (sixth) performing well.
Thomas Treverrow tried hard all day and finished in eighth place in the 85cc 9-11 years class, while in the Junior Lites Lochlen Dalla (sixth), Mitch Treverrow (10th) and Michael Baquero Jnr (19th) represented the club well.
Senior Lites Clubman featured Dean Demarco who finished in 11th place for the day while the talented Josh Cadorin beat Josh and Dave Armstrong in sixth and seventh with Tom Armstrong in 10th place.
The All Powers Expert class was a fast race with Mark Kirkman a thorn between the Paslow brothers, jostling for the top positions.
Kirkman was out-ridden by Joel Paslow but finished well in second while Dave and Tom Armstrong finished 7th and 10th with Dean Meginley at the rear in 11th position.
Open Clubman class was held for the big guns, with Rhett Standen leading the field and crossing the line first and Micheal Baquero Snr rode well for fifth, followed further back by Steve Cadorin in eighth.
Open Expert was dominated by Luke Paslow taking the chequred flag with Mark Kirkman giving him the hurry-up in third.
Five GMSC members contested the over 35s class with Brendon Cromack winning the battle of the locals in third with Steve Cadorin (sixth), Micheal Baquero (seventh) and Dale Standen (10th).
The local practice day that was to be held this weekend has been cancelled, due to the date conflicting with the Griffith 350 off-road car racing series.
