GRIFFITH mayor Mike Neville is standing trial in Wagga today, accused of eight sex offences allegedly committed against two women in his capacity as a probation and parole officer in 2003, 2008 and 2010.

A jury of eight men and four women was empanelled after Neville entered not guilty pleas when the indictment read out in Wagga District Court.
The jury heard that 29 police and civilian witnesses would be called to give evidence in the trial which is expected to run for two or three weeks.
