NATALINA'S for Hair N Beauty produced a come-from-behind 2-1 win over the Yenda Prods Young Guns in a feisty women's first division touch match-up at Ted Scobie Oval on Monday.
In a low-scoring but high-tempo game, the first score didn't come until just moments before the half-time hooter, when Yenda Prods' Zoe Whitworth evaded her marker on the left and touched down to earn a 1-0 lead.
Before that, it seemed both sides were happy to head into the break all square after a tight opening 20-minute period, with plenty of probing in attack at both ends but little reward.
But Natalina's turned things around in the second half, first by squaring the ledger through Raechel Lyon, who streaked through to cross over the right corner.
Then just as a draw seemed the more likely result, Isabella Barbaro went over for Natalina's to seal a memorable win.
The victory closes the gap between second-placed Yenda Prods and third-placed Natalina's to just three points, with the business end of the season looming large.
