MARCHIORIS Development's undefeated streak has now hit 12 games following a crushing 15-6 victory over Kevin Purtell/Agostini Repairs on Monday night at Ted Scobie Oval.
The runaway division one men's touch leader was never truly troubled by the Repairs side, with its slick ball movement and quicker feet proving the difference.
Purtell/Agostini actually took a surprise early lead when Jason Cambrell successfully dodged a tag as he went down to make it 1-0.
But it was all Marchioris from there.
Michael Duncan and Josh Bryant responded immediatelly for the men in red, who proceeded to run riot for the remainder of the first half.
Bryant added three more tries before the interval while Brendan Giason, Dominic Giorgi and Brett Owen all got in on the scoring fun to establish an unassailable 10-2 half-time buffer.
The Repairs team attempted to mount a mini-comeback after the resumption and strung together two touchdowns, the first set up by the crafty Albert Cook for Lawrence Cisato. Peter Wykes nailed the second by rescuing a low pass and touching down in the left corner in the one movement, making it 11-4.
Unfortunately for them, it was all in vein those two efforts were bookended by Bryant's fourth and fifth tries.
Duncan also scored twice more to complete his hattrick, but the highlight was Giason's second an intercept try which was effectively an end-to-end effort.
The result leaves Kevin Purtell/Agostini Repairs hanging onto fourth spot by a thread, as it sits only two points clear of Amanti, which beat Myee Quail Farm on a forfeit.
