Marian Catholic College’s graduating year 12 class and students from Griffith High’s year 10 took part in the opening functions of the local formal season.
With the girls decked out in traditional white dress and boys in suits, more than 400 people packed the Yoogali Club for Marian’s graduation dinner.
Family members, school staff and partners paid homage to the more than 60 graduating completed their HSC.
A sit-down meal, commemorative cake and speeches formed part of the event, before students received their diplomas and danced the night away.
“It was a fantastic night to celebrate the end of the high school years and it’s a very important milestone for students and their families,” Marian’s year 12 co-ordinator Louisa Raso said.
“They all looked stunning and it was an amazing event.”
Other formals and graduation dinners will take place in the coming weeks.
