DENILIQUIN might be better know for its annual ute fesitval, but the Griffith Swimming Club mustered up several impressive results at the long course meeting last weekend.

Makita and Jessica Power raced in a 50m pool for the first time with Makita second in the 11 years 200m Individual Medley and 100m freestyle and Jessica placed second in the 100m freestyle.

Annabelle Arthur swam very well placing second in the 25m backstroke taking 4.55secs off her time and 25m freestyle where she took 5.46secs off her previous best.

Brock Twigg was impressive in his events winning the 100m freestyle in a time 10secs faster than his entry time, a second in the 50m backstroke and third in 50m butterfly and freestyle.

Luke Parmenter was also impressive winning his 50m freestyle, 100m backstroke and 200m IM events as well as a second in the 100m freestyle.

Quade Stevenson swam a great 50m breaststroke to place second and swam a great 50m butterfly to improve his time by 6.67secs.

James Tilston swam three new personal best times in his 100m freestyle, 50m backstroke and butterfly.

Macy Rogerson swam well winning the 50m freestyle and placing second in the 50m butterfly and a third in the 50m backstroke. Mea Riley placed third in her 50m breaststroke event while Niamh Wood was successful in her events winning the 50m freestyle and butterfly, finishing second in 50m breaststroke and backstroke.

Doug Arthur also swam well winning his 50m and 100m backstroke events and placing second in 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle and 200m IM.

Joshua Golden continued his good form winning the 50m breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly, second in 50m freestyle and 100m breaststroke as well as a third in the 200m IM.

Corey Myott had a successful meet winning the 100m breaststroke, 200m IM, 50m butterfly, placing second in 50m backstroke and breaststroke and a third in the 100m freestyle and William Valeri placed third in the 50m butterfly and 100m breaststroke taking eight seconds off his time.

Morgan Twigg won the 200m IM and 100m freestyle and a third place in the 50m butterfly while Will Lyons finished his return to competition with a second place in the 200m IM and a third in the 50m freestyle and breaststroke.

Jessica Arthur placed second in her 50m and 100m backstroke events and 50m butterfly race and third in 50m freestyle and 100m butterfly.

Erin Golden placed in the top five for her 100m backstroke and 50m breaststroke events while Isabelle Wood won the 50m freestyle, 50m and 100m breaststroke and a third in the 200m IM.

Isabelle swam new personal times in five out of her six events.

Callan Mott and Eilish Aird both made a successful return to the pool with Callan winning the 50m and 100m breaststroke, a second place in his 200m IM and a third in his 50m backstroke event.

Eilish placed second in her 100m breaststroke, 100m butterfly and 200m IM events and a third in 200m freestyle, 50m breaststroke and 100m freestyle.

Tegan Goldman won her 100m backstroke and placed second in the 50m backstroke and 100m freestyle.

Brooke Tilston won the 20m IM and 100mbutterfly in her age group, finished second in her 100m breaststroke and a third in the 100m freestyle.

Brooke Myott swam well all meet winning the 100m and 200m freestyle, placing second in the 50m and 100m butterfly and 200m IM and a third in the 50m freestyle and backstroke.

Craig Tilston also competed, finishing the meet with a first in the 200m freestyle and a second in the 100m freestyle.
