The championships are contested in a 50-metre pool, and it is always difficult for the Griffith swimmers to adjust to the rigours of long course racing.
The club, with 24 swimmers, was the largest team at the championships with our swimmers contesting 180 events.
The Exies Griffith Swimmers came home with 15 gold, 22 silver and 29 bronze medals from the two day meet.

Mitchell Seers had eight events on his program and he came away with eight personal best times. This was an outstanding effort in the outdoor conditions and for his efforts Mitchell came home with five bronze medals.
Jacob Seers swam two personal best times and won a silver in his 800m freestyle event.
Jessica Soligo swam consistently throughout the meet and her efforts were rewarded with two silver and four bronze medals.
Eilish Aird had a huge ten-event program and she put in some lion hearted performances.
Her efforts in the 400 and 800m freestyle events were tremendous and may be a sign of where her future efforts could be focused.
Maddison Aird swam in nine events for two silver and two bronze medals along with three personal best times.
Logan Dunlop was seen following the swimming with great interest and his 100m freestyle swim saw him narrowly miss out on the medal with his fourth place finish.
Reagan Dunlop swam a six-event meet and medalled in all but one, with her gold medal swim coming in the 100m breaststroke and was followed by three silver swims and one bronze medal.
Connor Dunlop swam in four events and his best swim saw a 19 second personal best time in the 100m freestyle.
Louise Neale was contesting her first championship swim meet and she put in some great performances with four personal best swims.
Her five second personal best in the 100m freestyle was a great effort.
Emily Budd swam in nine events for four personal best times, with her five second personal best in the 100m butterfly the highlight, as was the silver medal for her 50m breaststroke and a bronze in her great 200m individual medley swim.
Olivia Budd is slowly regaining her fitness and came away from the meet with two gold and three bronze medals.
Her outstanding swim was her victory in the 100m freestyle against some class opposition.
Emma Groat was a model of consistency in her nine events to come away from the meet with two silver and two bronze medals.
Her butterfly swimming saw her narrowly miss out on gold but Emma secured the silver in both the 50 and 100m distances.

His highlight was his super swim in the 50m backstroke where he won a silver medal.

In all it was a very strong team performance which would see the Club in contention to win the meet point score for the third year in a row.
