GRIFFITH Blacks captain-coach Luke McKay said this weekend's clash against Ag College was the perfect time for his side to end its Jekyll and Hyde Southern Inland Rugby season.
After winning their first six games of the season and leading the competition, amazingly the Blacks now face a chance of missing out on the Walsh and Blair Cup finals, especially if they record their sixth loss in a row this weekend.
In recent weeks, McKay sat his men down and told them talent does not disappear overnight and that the answer to breaking free from their form slump lay in between their ears.
"We spoke about it last night (Tuesday) when we had Brian Hill down to have a word to us as a person on the outside looking in, and he said 'if you do want to win this you have to change your attitude'," McKay said. "If we still want to make it to finals then we have to win this weekend, simple as that. If we don't, then we have to start relying on the results of Young and Albury.
