WHILE they might wear black and white for most of the year, this weekend the Griffith Rugby League Club will don the famous colours for a different reason.
The Black and White Ball will celebrate the club's 50th anniversary with the gala event set to draw dozens of past greats for the chance to reunite and reminisce about their beloved club.
Some of the major stops down memory lane for the club include the 1975, 1990, 1998 premierships.
Guest speaker on the night is well-known rugby league identity Terry Regan, who is fondly remembered as a Black and White junior and coach of Hillston in Group 17.
Regan also made a significant impact at a national level, playing 82 games for Balmain, Easts and Canberra before a 25-game stint for Hull, with a single Country jersey also added to his impresive resume.
The night is also acting as a season opener for the club with fans invited to meet their club's new players including their battery of English players which are set to touch down in the country today.
The Black and White Ball is set for March 6 starting at 6pm at the Southside Leagues Club and the cost is $50 for a singles or $90 for doubles which includes a three-course meal, table wine and music by Mikidazzler.
Today is the last day to book tickets so to secure your seat contact Michelle Nancarrow on 0429 635 465 or Steve Parr on 0427 817 305.
