THE last monthly medal for 2009 was played at the Yenda Golf Club last Sunday and the winner of the day, with 67 nett, was Mariano Jimenez, with Billy Johnson not far behind in second with 69 nett, with Neil Pope rounding out the top three with 70 nett.

In the gold medal play off standings Billy Johnson qualified in A grade, and has now qualified in both A and B grades.
Mariano Jimenez qualified in B grade and Barb Millis qualified in C grade and there are now eight players who have qualified to play next week in the A grade gold medal play off,
While in the lower grades nine players have qualified to play in the B grade playoff and seven have qualified to play in C grade play off.
For those who have not qualified, next week will be a normal stroke event.
Unless the temperature goes over 35 degress, tee off will be at 8am.
There was no Yenda vets stableford competition last Tuesday due to the very wet fairways from the rain we had on Monday, however, they are looking very good now and the vets tee off time is 8.30am.
Last weeks hams were won by Peter Noon and David Black, with Noon getting 22 points and Black winning the second one on a countback.
The daylight saving competition continues from Sunday to Saturday, with late Wednesday afternoon and Saturdays at 3pm being the best time to find a partner if you don't have one.
