A STROKE round was the order of the day in the Women’s Summer Golf Competition last Saturday and with 25 ladies lining up three division titles were up for grabs.
Judy Leeson played very well to win division one with 72 nett with runner-up Kathy King a further five shots behind with 77 nett after some countbacks.
The best score in division two went to Eleanor Hancock with a good score of 73 nett while Judy Kroek finished in second place with 77 nett after a countback.
Division three winner was Merle Cudmore with 74 nett and the runner-up was Pat Tyson with 75 nett.
There were six balls in the ball competition and the score required was 78 nett on a countback.
Three ladies played in the Sunday competition and the winner was Elizabeth Graham with 32 nett after a countback with Julia Irving who also had 32 nett.
Only 19 ladies braved the heat on Wednesday to play in a stableford competition and the division one winner was Julia Irving with 34 points having survived a countback with Denise Turner, who took out second place.
Merle Cudmore continued her good form to win division two with a good score of 36 points while the runner-up was Pat Tyson with 34 points.
There were five balls in the balls competition and the score to win a ball was 30 points on a countback.
Today is a stroke competition and this Saturday there will be a stableford competition, best nine holes, with another stableford competition on Sunday.
Ladies are reminded that all vouchers need to be redeemed by the February 31, 2012.
