The best scores for the week in Griffith women’s golf were returned last Wednesday, with Marie Centofanti scoring a great 38 points to win Division 1.
Runner-up was Denise Turner on 35 points on a count back from Elizabeth Graham.
Jan Condon’s 36 points was the winning score in Division 2, with Shirley Carter runner-up on 34 points on a count back from Julia Irving.
With 22 players there were six balls in the ball comp.
The score required was 31 points on a count back.
On New Year’s Day there were only two players in the competition.
Elizabeth Graham was the winner on 32 points with Will Mead runner-up on 30 points.
Graham was the only player on the holiday Monday when she returned a score of 34 points.
Today’s event is a stableford (best nine holes).
On Saturday there will be a stroke event with another stableford competition on Sunday.
