MICK Duncan was named the Griffith Swans' first grade best and fairest player for 2010 at the club's annual presentation night earlier this week.
Duncan proved his worth to the side in a season that was upset several times by injuries, however when fit, he still showed he could be one of the best players in the competition.
Casey Moore was judged to be the best of the under 17s side for the past year, with Moore's form boding well for the future of the club.
The Swans' netball players also had their moment in the spotlight, with defender Anna Smith winning the top award for the juniors and shooter Danni Chambers securing the runner-up title in only the last round.
Mid-court defender Monique Cusack was the clear winner of player of the year for C grade with Meg Signor earning second place for her efforts in the attack circle.
Attacking players continued to share in the spoils with Jessie Dillon netting the top gong, with her sister Jade and Lani Houston needing the last game to be separated, with Houston sneaking home.
Karen Conlan had the A grade medal in the bag before the last round but it was a tense three-way tie for second heading into the final stages of the regular season for second.
Claire Irvin, Peta Larkin and Maddie Tyson were all in the running for their consistent efforts during the season, but Irvin just got the nod after excelling in the side's last game against Turvey Park.
