Cahill sure of Yoogali victory

12 Mar, 2010 12:15 PM
YOOGALI skipper Nathan Cahill has backed his side to get up for its biggest game of the year, when they take on the Coro Cougars at West End Oval tomorrow.

With Yoogali being the big improver this season, Cahill said his men will need to aim up tomorrow or risk playing a season of excellent cricket for nothing, with his bowling attack likley to lead the way.

"That's our biggest weapon, our bowling, because we have about eight guys that can come on and do something with the ball and bowl tight lines, which is going to be really handy with these extra overs," Cahill said.

"But I think the real key for us will be to bat out overs."

But his batsmen have not gone unnoticed, with Cahill predicting good things from James White and David Felton, saying White is due to turn a start into a big score while Felton has struck form since the recent Twenty20 tournament.

"I think James White is due again, he's been getting the starts all year and I think he's due to turn one of them into a big score, and Dave Felton is starting to look a bit better again," Cahill said.

Coro have shown how seriously they are taking the game by naming a full-strength side that has strength down its batting order and with plenty of bowling options for skipper Tim Rand to call upon if his men are asked to field tomorrow.
