Tuesday service to remember Kayla

GRIFFITH teenager Kayla Green will be farewelled tomorrow morning at a graveside service in the lawn cemetery at 10am.

The 16-year-old was tragically killed last Wednesday when the car she was driving crossed the road and collided head-on with another vehicle on the Pacific Highway near Port Macquarie.

Meanwhile, Kayla's father Rod Green has issued an emotional apology to the 40-year-old driver injured in the crash that claimed his daughter's life.

"I just want to say sorry to that man, that I'm sorry for this tragedy," Mr Green told a Sydney newspaper.

"I can't apologise enough. We're just so sad about what's happened."

The driver was treated in hospital for minor leg injuries.
