REMEMBER this face.
If John Lolohea's performance during Friday night's Griffith Amateur Talent Quest is anything to go by, you could be looking at a future superstar.
The talented musician took out first place in his age section, second in the duo section, with partner Marycarmen Blanco, and judges also awarded him the inaugural Kayla Green Achievement trophy.
The 17-year-old was one of 35 contestants, who took part in the event held at the Coro Club. The night raised $4500 for Griffith Can Assist.
Organiser Gloria Burns said she was delighted to see so many people come out to support such a worthy cause.
"It was a record night for us," she said.
"We had the most entries and biggest crowd. I'd say there was close to 300 people.
"Once again the judges did a difficult job very well. They commented that the standard was extremely high."
Judges on the night were Cheryl McRae, Vicki D'Aquino, Nilva Close and Jenny Ellis. Meanwhile emcee Rosanne Guadagnini made sure the night ran smoothly.
"It makes me feel so proud that people are still coming along to support the talent quest and Can Assist," Mrs Burns said.
"I'd like to say a big thanks to everyone who was involved."
