Street violence leads to AVO's

02 Oct, 2009 12:00 AM
THREE men have been issued with apprehended violence orders (AVO) after a brawl broke out on Couch Road on Wednesday evening.

"A group of people appeared to have gotten into a disagreement on Couch Road at about 6pm and police were called," Inspector Murray Gillett said.

Police attended the incident and charged the three men with affray. "The AVOs were taken out to protect the men from each other," Insp Gillett said.

A 39-year-old Sydney man narrowly avoided smashing through a shopfront when he lost control of his car on Wednesday morning.

Police attended the scene after the man's car collided with bollards on Banna Street at about 2am.

The man was charged with refusing to provide a breath test to police and negligent driving.

Police have appealed for information after a car was stolen from Couch Road this week.

The white 1984 Ford Laser Sedan was stolen between 10pm Tuesday and 7.30am Wednesday. "Enquiries are continuing, but if anyone has any information or has seen one driving around we'd like to know," Insp Gillett said.
