Drink-driver hospitalised

12 Mar, 2010 10:25 AM
A 70-YEAR-OLD woman was so drunk behind the wheel she had to be taken to Griffith hospital for treatment on Monday.

The woman was driving along Benerembah Street when officers pulled her over for a random breathtest.

The initial blood alcohol reading was reported as 0.4.

Following treatment at hospital, she was transported to Griffith Police Station.

She failed to take her official blood alcohol test and was charged with failing to undergo a breath analysis.

She will front Griffith Local Court on March 24.
